The Lyre Office was once a three-person office, long ago. A brother, a sister, and a close friend, choosing to start an office within their home District together- it felt like a pipe dream, but somehow they made it real. Lyra, Cygnus and Aquila made it real, forming the Lyre Office within the north of District 22.
The Office ran smoothly for just a trio. Not particularly formidable, not particularly large, yet apparently interesting enough to become an Associate of the Seven Association, and unique enough with its use of weapons requiring strings or chains- Cygnus' ball and chain, Aquila's bow and Lyra's spiked flail. The trio worked hard, rising slowly up through the ranks, when tragedy struck.
Aquila doesn't remember how Lyra died- well, perhaps it's more likely she blocked it out of her mind, choosing to remember her life and not her death. But it did happen- one day, while she and Cygnus were on a mission. They returned, and Lyra was dead. With only the two of them, life in the office grew harder, and without Lyra, the Lyre Office felt like it had no life anymore. So Aquila set out to new places, looking for another line of work, and settled on the new L Corp.
The Library is always full of life to Aquila. She feels like a bird, once chained to the ground, able to spread her wings and soar once more. Though she does occasionally wonder how the Lyre Office fares...
The Patron Librarian of the Floor of Philosophy. Lyra tries to avoid her for the most part, citing her relatively intimidating nature, though she doesn't mind talking with her briefly.
An Assistant Librarian of Philosophy, and Aquila's co-worker. She gets along well with Bran, being the voice to his flute accompaniment. She does tend to get in the way of his alone time, though he will make it clear when that happens. They're still on good terms despite this.
An Assistant Librarian of Philosophy, and Aquila's co-worker. Though she doesn't see him much, on account of him preferring to hang around Binah or Peregrine, she still considers him a friend, and enjoys his added drumming to any performance.
An Assistant Librarian of Philosophy, and Aquila's co-worker. She does not like Peregrine. It feels like she's always watching for something, perched high up among the shelves, lie he's going to swoop down at even the slightest bit of wrongdoing. And she expects her to.
